The people of the upazila are naturally fond of the festival. The participation of people irrespective of religion and caste in the religious and social festivals of this town is remarkable. Apart from the major religious festivals, Jagadatri Puja, Neel Puja, Manasa Puja, Naam Kirtan and Poush Sankranti are celebrated here. Among the social festivals, Pahela Baishakh, Baishakhi Mela, Dayamayir Mela are the main ones.
